2nd Aug 09 Area meeting at Surat was attended by 12 brethren from our Lodge. To and fro bus service was provided by the lodge. The report of the activities of the past 4 months was presented.

12th Aug 09 For prevention against swine flu 200 masks were distributed to members and their spouses. They were made aware of the disease and were explained the preventive measures.

19th – 20th Sept 09 Half yearly meeting of RGL of WI at Ahmedabad was attended by many brethren. Seven of our brethren received certificates from the RGM for their services to Freemasonry.

30th -31st Jan10

A 2-DAY OSTEOPOROSIS AND JOINT AWARENESS PROGRAMME for our brethren and their family was conducted by Dr. Bharat Mody, a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and his team of physiotherapists.

The lecture enriched our knowledge on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis and its prevention. The physiotherapists taught us the various treatment plans for relieving pain of the joints in our body.

Free Bone Density check-up was also organized along with it.

6th -7th Feb 10
Annual Investiture Meeting
of RGL of WI at Pune was attended by 17 brethren of our lodge. Out of 70 and odd Lodges in the Western region, our strength was the highest which was appreciated by RGM and also Grand Master.

20th Feb10
Teachers Training Programme for Awareness of Learning Disabilities in children was organised by our lodge with an NGO. It was attended by 95 Primary school Teachers of Municipal Corporation schools of Vadodara. Each teacher was given a certificate of participation.

22nd Mar10
Distribution of Mosquito Nets

As a measure to control diseases transmitted by the mosquitoes like dengue, chikenguinea and malaria, we distributed 60 mosquito nets to the inmates of Boys Observation Home (remand home) at Bhutadi Zapa, Vadodara.

 

Blood Donation Camp &
AIDS Awareness Programme Dec. 09

Blood donation camp and AIDS awareness programme was organized on the 5th of December 2009 on the premises of a multinational company BOMBARDIER TRANSPORTATION PVT. LTD. under the aegis of TYRRELL LEITH LODGE No. 43. between 9.00am to 12.00 noon.

The programme started with speeches from the M.D. of BOMBARDIER, Mr. Dandekar, H.R. Manager Mr. Kokje, and Medical Advisor Dr. Jatin Modi. Our W.M. Dr. Bibhas Shah talked about our Lodge and the principles of Freemasonry.

Out of the strength of 125 employees of the company 64 persons donated blood and 20 were rejected due to medical problems. The response was overwhelming. Each donor was presented with a small gift by our Lodge.

More than 25 posters were displayed in the hall regarding AIDS awareness. Our members were present to explain – What is AIDS? , How is it caused?, How is it spread?And the precautions to prevent its spread.

Refreshments were served to all after the programme.

Universal Brotherhood Day Held on 24th June 2009

Internationally celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day amongst Freemasons was also celebrated by TLL No. 43 with Lodge Baroda on 24.06.09. TLL No. 43 donated Rs. 40,000/- to various NGO’s The pictures are given below.
